Today, Monday, I return to the theme of worship, with a range of different images of gods from around the world.

I begin with statues from the Yogini Temple near Bhubaneswar, dedicated to 64 incarnations of the goddess it celebrates, then phallic symbols from Cyprus and a pair from Malta and four from Armenia. Then there is a stalagmite in Meghalaya that does duty as a phallus too.

Then we have an ancient female deity from Malta, two from Angola and three from Cyprus, the last looking a bit like the one from Bolivia that follows. The next is the god of the silver mines there who has to be propitiated with alcohol and cigarettes. We end with four more deities from different places in India.
